Victoria based Sather Financial Group has earned national recognition as being one of the top wealth managers in the country. This ranking also placed Sather Financial in the top thirty managers in Texas.
The study, published in the July 2005 issue of Bloomberg Wealth Manager magazine, ranked all providers of financial planning and investment management services in the country. To be considered for inclusion, wealth managers had to oversee a minimum of $50 million.
Sather Financial was established six years ago by Dave Sather, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and Accredited Fiduciary Investment Manager™. Since their inception, the firm now manages more than $100 million for about 125 families.
When the firm was established, Sather wanted to provide more than just investment advice or brokerage services. As such, he structured the firm to be an independent, “fee-only” firm. This distinction means that unlike a typical stockbroker, none of their compensation is derived from commissions or other transaction related activity. Sather Financial Group is one of only two “fee-only” firms in the Victoria area.
Furthermore, to enhance the nature of their services Sather provides full financial planning to their clients; they are the only full time financial planning firm in the area. These services include traditional retirement, tax, insurance and estate planning. Additionally, other services cover non-traditional items such as negotiating the purchase of vehicles and other property, arranging aptitude testing for college students and even funeral planning.
Sather says their ultimate goal has always been to provide a high level of knowledge coupled with outstanding client service.
